:be AG was formed in Lustenau, Austria in October 2020, more than 35 years after the birth of the Baumschlager Eberle Group. Its purpose is to set a course for the coming decades that will ensure the group’s continued success in the provision of architectural design services and the development and implementation of sustainable building concepts.

With around 25 subsidiaries spread across eight countries, the core activities of the new holding company are the acquisition and management of new shareholdings, and intellectual property rights management. In August 2021 it listet on the stock market in a move designed to ramp up its growth strategy, drive forward international expansion and the development of innovative building concepts, and secure access to the capital market.

In March 2025, the Board of Directors decided to delist the Company with effect from 22 April 2025 (see also ad hoc release of 19 March 2025 / 17:37 CET/CEST). The decision to delist was taken in view of the fact that the Company has not financed itself via the capital markets since its listing in 2021 and that the trading volume of the shares in the direct market segment has remained low since then. Significant price fluctuations with low trading volumes and the large spread made it impossible for the company to convince institutional investors to invest in the :be share.
